Natural Bridge State Park, KY, 2008
Natural Bridge is adjacent to the Red River Geological Area. This area of KY has a variety of natural stone arches. The sand stone, sculpted by wind and rock, create interesting features (faces) in the rocks.

Coldfoot reunion in WA and OR, 2008
My visit with E.S. was spectacular. Some of the many highlights included touring a working tree farm, walking along the OR coast, touring various museums, and learning about combustion engines.
Farm Fresh Memories, 2008
With little ones in the mix, everything becomes an adventure.
Breaks Interstate Park, 2008

Breaks Interstate Park is called the “Grand Canyon of the South”. It is the largest canyon east of the Mississippi River, five miles long and 1600 feet deep. The park is administered by the states of Virginia and Kentucky. The Catawba rhododendron blooms and interesting rock formations were absolutely magnificent.

Lilley Cornett Woods, 2008

Lilley Cornett Woods contains that largest preserved remnant of old-growth forest in eastern Kentucky. In the southern Appalachians, old-growth forests have many large trees over 200 years old, many trees with substantial commercial value like white oaks, trees of all ages and sizes, and little or no evidence of human disturbance.
